SNL tonight: host Jim Carrey channels Johnny Carson, plus Black Keys

Jim Carrey takes over Saturday Night Live tonight, and the host has wasted no time making fun of the fact that he’s been divorced multiple times and recently split again, as he’s already hitting on cast member Kristen Wiig in the SNL advance promos. Sneak peek clips in NBC appear to show Carrey sending up late-period Johnny Carson, with him in the role as another actor portrays Tonight Show sidekick EdMcMahon. Meanwhile, the musical guest for SNL tonight are the Black Keys, as the duo consisting of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are performing on the strength of their latest album Brothers. While having gone on to a starring career in comedic and dramatic movie roles, Jim Carrey is in one sense returning to his roots as SNL host tonight; he got his start as a cast member for the sketch comedy show In Living Color.
