iPhone 4 on sale at 7:00 in the morning; all night campers delight

iPhone 4 will be available starting at the nearly pre-dawn time of seven o’clock in the morning on June 24th at AT&T stores, which comes as good news for those planning to camp out all night as it means they’ll only have to keep their eyes open until 7:00 am as opposed to a later door-opening time such as 10:00am. It’s also a marked shift away from the original iPhone launch in 2007, which saw the device go on sale in the early evening, with enthusiasts camping out all day in the summer sun. Apple has more recently shifted to morning launches, with the iPad seeing all-night campers before going on sale at daybreak. AT&T stores will also see employees wearing T-shirts which bizarrely integrate Apple’s long-ago phased out rainbow logo motif into AT&T’s own current logo; perhaps AT&T failed to get the memo about the fact that Apple’s logo has been single-color for a decade.
