Scosche boomBOTTLE: Beatweek Best of Show 2013 at CES

Of the myriad of bluetooth wireless portable speakers coming to market, most are designed under the assumption that you’ll use them indoors. Scosche assumes the opposite with the boomBOTTLE. The cylindrical one piece stereo has a ruggedized rubber exterior and is shaped so it’ll fit in the drink holder on your bicycle. You don’t have to be living the active lifestyle to use it, however, because the true standout feature is the quality of the audio. At $159 it should sound good, but this is one of these products which blew us away, particularly for its size. There’s enough bass kick that you’ll have no trouble hearing your music outdoors amid audible distractions, and the music retains its resonance as you crank up the volume.

There will be quite a number of bluetooth speakers coming to market in 2013, but this is one of the best we’ve encountered – particularly for outdoor use or other conditions where it might take a licking.
