Prepare to be disappointed. Why would Verizon charge less than AT&T. Premium never comes at Regular Unleaded prices. And VZW is likely to be 12-18 mos ahead of T on their 4G rollout. So you can enjoy your slightly lower bill... and your slow edge network. Now if you somehow think that is unfair, remember that VZW has invested 60 BILLION into their network AND most analysts agree that VZW is likely to get a bigger bang for each $ spent simply because they have a better corp. culture. ...so when the iPhone comes to VZW do yourself a favor and live a little... stop buying vanilla just once.

"I tried to update my current iPhone 3G and was told I could but at $400 until my contract expired in Feb 2011."<br><br>That's unlikely to be accurate. You may want to check with a different store than the one who gave you that information.

I am currently a customer of AT&T because I love the iPhone and Verizon for business phone, but can't wait for the move of the iPhone to Verizon. I tried to update my current iPhone 3G and was told I could but at $400 until my contract expired in Feb 2011. Even though it was claimed that folks with older phones could upgrade early. But that's a lie unless you want to pay the full frieight. If the iPhone comes to Verizon, AT&T guess where my money is going!!!

That is true. I am a verizon customer...I am one of these statistics... Why? My wife bought me an iTouch and fell in love with it...the design, the user frindly interface, it is a Great product... But i am concerned about att coverage to get an ipjone and waiting impatiently to get both coverage and product... I really tried droid, i tried palm, i tried blackbury and payed the $35 restock because none of them gave the itouch feeling.... So why cant we be like europe where apple licensed the product to different phone companies... Seems like Steve Job is more of a genius of design than a real business man... Why else he will shutt out billions of dollars in revenue with pitential verizon customers.....

I'm as much of an Apple supporter as anyone. I'm not just a "popular fan" or something; I've been loyal to the company even when nobody else was back in the early 90s. I've been waiting a LONG time for Verizon to pick up the iPhone; I already use the ipod Touch and would like nothing better than to have the phone capability as well. <br><br>But Verizon needs to know this. If they don't offer a lower price than AT&T's price for the monthly service, then I'm *still* not going to buy one even after they're on my carrier. It's ridiculous to have to pay $100/month just for phone service with texts and internet.
