American Idol season finale confirmed to run long to 10:07pm

American Idol has confirmed that its season finale on Wednesday will run sixty-seven minutes, from 9:00 pm to 10:07 pm, in an alert to viewers to set their DVR recordings to run long as well. Idol also confirmed that Facebook invitations sent to viewers, which stated a different ending time, are incorrect. The American Idol season finale will reveal the results of the previous night’s voting and crown the winner for Idol’s ninth season.

Idol’s top two finalists, Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze, will face off the evening before, on Tuesday at 8pm, and then the show’s voters will have their say.
