When will Conan realize ...he is not funny and his ratings suck. That is why he is gone.

Jackomanturn, 5 years earlier Conan told NBC he would walk if he wasn't guaranteed The Tonight Show. NBC at the time did its best to keep both of them and negotiated it for 5 years out. When the time came, it didn't work in the ratings. I don't blame Conan and I don't blame NBC for what they all did then (5 years earlier) or now in pushing Conan off and fully paying him off on his contract. It's just business. I liked Conan better, personally. Jay is an idiot onscreen, and Conan was fully paid off and has already signed his TBS deal. Conan showed class in thanking NBC on his last NBC show.

In paying Conan off, NBC made Conan stay off the air IN ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES competitive against NBC for six months. That's standard procedure. There never was any prohibition against him appearing on TV anywhere doing an interview. It's just business.
