Carrie Underwood’s Idol Gives Back performance on YouTube

April 21, 2010   by

American Idol winner and country star Carrie Underwood returned to the show tonight to perform “Change” from her latest album Play On as part of Idol Gives Back. The performance has found its way to YouTube already; as always with the full disclaimer that we didn’t put it there and neither did the Idol people, so we have no idea how long it’ll last before it gets yanked.

In any case, Underwood’s performance was the only one tonight by a former Idol contestant. But other performers included everyone from Elton John, to a Jeff Beck and Joss Stone duet, to the Black Eyed Peas, to a Led Zeppelin cover featuring Mary J. Blige, Orianthi, Steve Vai, Travis Barker, and even judge Randy Jackson on bass – so no complaints.
