Ke$ha’s SNL laser harp revealed

If you’re wondering just what that laser harp thing was that Kesha was playing during her performance this past weekend on Saturday Night Live (among other questions you may have had about her performance), the scoop comes from Lightwave International. Referring to the musical instrument as a “harp synthesizer,” the company had this to say about Kesha’s performance:

“The amazing Laser Harp or Laser Synthesizer was used for the SNL performance by KEY$HA on Saturday April 17, 2010 on Saturday Night Live.   Keysha paired with Lightwave International ( www.lasershows.net ) to put a massive full color laser on the SNL stage for this unique performance of tik tok.”

Uh, KEY$HA? And we thought we had trouble figuring out what to do with the dollar sign in her name. In any case, the company claims that Kesha’s SNL stint represented the first time in history that someone has played the, uh, harp synthesizer while simultaneously singing. The company promised a press release by April 18th, but we can’t seem to find it.
