American Idol’s Crystal Bowersox responds via Facebook

April 17, 2010

Hours after word broke that she had reportedly tried to quit American Idol, only to be talked into staying by host Ryan Seacrest, frontrunner candidate Crystal Bowersox has posted a response to the situation on Idol’s official Facebook page. While she doesn’t directly address what transpired between her and Seacrest, she appears to acknowledge the situation:

no apologies for being human. Life is always testing ones strength and weakness threshold. That’s how we learn how strong we really are:-)”

Bowersox is considered the clear cut frontrunner to win this season on American Idol, although it hasn’t always worked out that way with odds on favorites from Idol’s previous seasons.

In any case, it appears Crystal will still be on the show this upcoming week when Alicia Keys pays a visit to serve as contestant mentor for Idol’s “inspirational songs” theme week.

If Crystal can not handle all the fame and publicities, she should Quit. She does not deserve to win this competition. Ryan should just let her go. For the 2 girls remaining, Siobhan is much better than her (but Siobhan just stop yelling every time she sings, it's annoying but she has a great voice, and better looks, very fashionable and knows how to dress up. The guys (Casey and Lee) are much better than Crystal too.

She keeps messing up the show. This giant publicity stunt makes the competition UNFAIR! Even if it were unintentional, it still makes it unfair because this is now the 2nd time she gets massive attention draw towards her. Think it doesn't help? Big Mike was going home and was saved. Technically he should have left the next week. But he stayed. Why? Because his fans voted differently after that. The same thing happens here with Crystal. And she's just sent a giant middle finger to Idol producers and fans by simply deciding to leave in the middle, if she was. But watch and see, her fans will find a way to turn it into a silver-lined positive. It's amazing how blind some people can be.
