Ke$ha to pull a “Tik Tok” on SNL’s MacGruber tonight?

Kesha, whose debut album Animal has spawned such chart topping hits at Tik Tok and Blah Blah Blah, will take the stage in New York City tonight as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. No official word on which two songs she’ll perform, but we’re guessing we just named them in the previous sentence, unless she’s planning to use the occasion to work part of an upcoming single into her performance, as Lady GaGa did when she squeezed a few bars of “Bad Romance” into her SNL performance a few months back.

Kesha hasn’t given any hints as to her wardrobe (her turn on American Idol earlier this year had her wearing what appeared to be a Native American headdress), nor is it clear whether she’ll also be participating in the show’s sketches in the manner that recent SNL musical guests such as Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift have; Kesha’s sporadically updated Twitter page @keshasuxx (yes, that’s her real Twitter name) simply reads “Heyyyy guyssss watch snl this saturday if u wanna see me in action!! Sooo excited!”

The host for the episode is Ryan Phillippe, who (not so) coincidentally stars in the upcoming movie based on Saturday Night Live’s recurring MacGruber sketch with SNL’s Will Forte. (WWE champion Chris Jericho is also set to appear in the MacGruber film; Beatweek spoke with Jericho about a number of topics earlier this month.)

And for the record, yes, we’ve mused over the fact that every MacGruber sketch ends with a bomb exploding, and Ke$ha’s most popular song is entitled Tik Tok – we give it 50-50 odds that she finds her way into the MacGruber sketch in some manner; it’s not clear whether her most recent tweet “Drummers are dangerous” may be some kind of a hint of what’s to come.
