Flaming Lips announce tour dates
March 3, 2010 by Beatweek
The Flaming Lips have announced a string of tour dates for the first half of 2010 which will take the Oklahoma-based rock veterans from Texas to New York. The band will be touring in support of its two recent full-length albums: Embryonic, the late 2009 release of new studio material, and Dark Side of the Moon, the remake of the legendary Pink Floyd album of the same name. Dark Side, which was released digitally in early 2010, will be available on vinyl in April and on physical CD in May.
Opening for the Lips will be Stardeath and White Dwarfs, the fellow Oklahomans who collaborated with the Lips on Dark Side of the Moon.
Beatweek interviewed Flaming Lips lead singer Wayne Coyne and Stardeath lead singer Dennis Coyne in January.
