SRS iWow-U and iWow 3D: Beatweek 2012 Best of Show at Macworld-iWorld

We’ve tested stereo products with built-in SRS technology and found that it gives additional life to what you’re listening to. The audio sounds more expansive, more lively, and provides a higher quality listening experience in general. Now the company’s iWow adapter for iPad, iPhone, and iPod allows that same experience to be applied to any headphones or earbuds. The product connects either to the docking port (iWow 3D) or headphone port (iWow-U) and acts as a small bridge to your existing headphones.

In our tests on the Macworld-iWorld 2012 show floor, we tried the iWow with a movie and several different kinds of music. The results? In nearly every instance, the audio sounded significantly better with the iWow than without. And for the rare song which doesn’t sound quite right, there’s an “off” button. The iWow 3D is available now and the iWow-U is coming soon; we like the latter because it includes the three-button playback controls with iPhone and iPad users have increasingly come to expect on third party devices. The U will also work with computers and other smartphones and tablets.
