If you had any fears that “House of Marley” might be a mere licensing deal instead of a true representation of Bob Marley’s legacy, that concern fades away immediately when you approach the company’s booth and find that Bob’s son Rohan Marley is right there demonstrating the speakers and headphones to passersby. After all, he’s the one who designed them.

Once best known as a linebacker at University of Miami, Rohan is now a businessman. The audio products from House of Marley offer reggae-inspired designs including wood and camouflage amidst red yellow and green backdrops, and they sound great when playing reggae music. Fortunately, when we got hands-on with the products at CES, it turns out they sound great when playing other genres as well. The product which stood out the most was the company’s TTR Destiny headphones, a $299 over-ear flagship product which offered crisp and powerful audio across the spectrum.
