When V-MODA launched its mid-sized Crossfade M-80 headphones last year, the number in the name suggested that there would eventually be a bigger, badder M-100. Sure enough, V-MODA founder Val Kolton was on hand in Las Vegas this week to give Beatweek some hands-on time with the M-100.
It’s a $299 headphone product which retains what we liked about the m-80 (one of our Best of 2011 winners) and scales it up into what might be the cleanest-sounding three hundred dollar headphones we’ve ever tested. As tends to be the case with V-MODA products, the m-100 serves up a hefty amount of bass. But again, as we’ve come to expect from Kolton and company, it’s the best bass in the business.
