New York City’s Times Square re-opens for business

May 2, 2010   by

Ten hours after parts of Times Square was shut down after the discovery of an unexploded car bomb in the area, the bustling hub in New York City’s Manhattan has official re-opened for business, according to various television news reports. This includes the “Lion King” Broadway play, which was in the closest proximity to the car of any Broadway theater. Props to NYC for getting back on its feet so quickly, and for being back out on the streets of Times Square en masse in such quick and fearless fashion after the failed attempt. Authorities have suggested that the lack of detonation of the incendiary device may make it easier to gather evidence in determining the identity of the offender, whose identity at this point is completely unknown.
